This girl had the guts to come up to me and say she didn’t like me at my first school dance, and I’ve never even done anything to her. I went into the bathroom and cried the whole time. My true friends helped me. This one friend was with the bully the whole time. Now all these rumors are going around. People think I am the bully. People are being ignorant and without knowing, taking the bully’s side. However in Chorus, I got a note from my new BFF. She said how amazing I was!!! Ever since then, I feel like nothing bothers me anymore. Thanks for helping!
Hi guys it’s Abbyleigh I just wanted to write this for you all. My mam is 32 and on January 27th 2016 she was diagnosed with both Lupus and Multiple Sclerosis. On top she has fibromyalgia. As you know I love to model and in between treatments and feeling unwell she puts me first and always makes sure I chase my dreams. My dreams always become hers. I believe behind every amazing person they have a hero that Spurs them on and inspires them. When I receive bad comments or singled out at school she uplifts me and builds my confidence back up. She shows me support and unconditional love every single day without question. Her moto is that we can change this world one day and person at a time. She never complains when I can see she is having a bad day or in pain, instead she makes sure our family is sorted for each day before any thought of herself. She is my driving force and I hope to be as nurturing, strong and inspiring one day. Myself and my mam love you guys. Your doing something so great and allows us all to fit in. That is a amazing thing to offer this world. Take care and love. Abbyleigh ❤️
Wow! Your mam sounds like an amazing person! She is so caring and she always puts you and your family first – she must be such an incredible inspiration to you! ♥ You have shared such a beautiful story with us and we can definitely see why your mam is your hero! A hero is someone who helps other achieve their dreams and the inspiration, love and support that your mam gives to you is very special!
You are already inspiring girls with your story and with all of the self-confidence you show! Awesome job and everyone here at Gomee Girl Central is SOOOOO proud of you, Abbyleigh!! I’m going into year 11 and I’m really scared about failing my maths and English. In the U.K. If you don’t get a C then you need to do it again and I really just want to pass so I can do my arts that I want to do.
I just need some advice on what to do as I’m always having anxiety attacks about it and I feel really down.

My mom is always stressed out because she doesn’t get enough help with my brother and I feel bad because I don’t help out enough. D:
In my high school, there’s so many stuff I really want to do there, but I have to make it in. I want to do dance, singing, and forensic science! I’ve been doing it for a while and have been recognized for it. I hope I can make it into the highschool! This is such an inspiring website!
I totally love your voice and I want to be a singer someday! I sing in my school plays but I have never had to sing in front of a big audeince. I’m 10 and I want to keep practicing. How did you get to be so good at singing? I love your voice and your music so much! Thank you for helping me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My mom doesn’t want me to put a picture of myself but I am 10 and I have brown hair.
I am really shy and it’s hard for me at school to meet new friends. I’m a little scared about starting middle school next week because I won’t know many people. How can I make new friends? I love your songs and your music you are awesome!!!!!!!!!
I’m moving around November from my school and I’m scared that I’ll have no friends and that the work will be too hard in my new school. Any advice?! By the way, this website is SO inspiring!!
I’ve been bullied since kindergarten and it’s really hard for me. I want to inspire girls to be confident I’ve been really shy and afraid to raise my hand but I try and work hard.
We are so proud of you!!! Being bullied can be so traumatic yet here you are… looking to inspire other girls to be confident! That really says a lot about you! Please remember that when people bully others they are usually insecure about themselves or jealous. When they bully someone or make fun of them, it makes them feel powerful. Continue to rise above it like you have been doing and, if you need help or if you need to talk to someone, please promise us that you’ll find a trusted adult to talk to! 🙂
Keep up the amazing work! We think that you are amazing just the way you are! Thanks for sharing your thoughts and your story with us! XoXoXo ♥♥♥
I’m going into grade 6 this year. Over the years I’ve acted really shy and have been afraid to express my self, but when I’m out in public and at home I’m really out there. To be honest, I wish it would change, and I’d express myself as much as any other girl would, so in September, I’m going to give it a try. I think I’ll tell you guys a little but about my self now😊 I’m shy, (at school.) I love to make dance and gymnastics routines, and when I’m older I want to inspire as many girls as you will!💜 I’m trying to make dance my new thing because I honestly love it so much. It calms my nerves. Do you have any suggestions that will help me be more confident and not as shy at school? If you do please tell me it would help so much💚 thanks SO much gomee girl!💜
Thank you so much for sharing your story with us! It’s so nice to learn a little bit about you and it’s so amazing to know that you love to make up gymnastics and dance routines! How FUN! You must be very talented! Keep following that dream and you will do amazing things!! Isn’t it the BEST when you have something that you really love and you think about it and do it!!! Keep at it, Olivia, and you’ll be super successful! ♥
I think that a lot of girls are shy! Guess what? There are some of here at Gomee Girl who are shy, too! It’s okay to be shy and I remember thinking exactly like you do… trying to be a little more outgoing at school. I know exactly how that feels! Good for you for putting yourself out there and trying to be more expressive! Recognizing that you’re shy and wanting to do something about it is step one! Now, it’s time to branch out and try new things and meet new people! So, start with little things… like saying hi to someone new in the hall when you pass them. You’d be surprised at how many people smile and say hi back to you! 🙂 When you say hi to someone new, and when they say hi back, you’ll gain some confidence in approaching new people! Try teaming up with a friend you trust and let her know what you’re trying to do… that way, you can do things together and it’s always more fun with a friend! The two of you could join a sport or an organization at school together… it’s always easier when you’re not alone. I can tell that you are intelligent (you write VERY well!) so raise your hand in class to answer questions – it sounds like a silly little thing, but it will help you! One of the BEST ways to get over being shy is to talk to people and getting people to talk about themselves makes it really easy on you! People LOVE to talk about themselves and what interests them, so ask people questions about themselves and be a good listener. When you do that, you’ll see how easy it is to break out of your shell! 🙂 Know that you are beautiful, kind, creative and amazing just the way you are, Olivia! Have confidence in yourself and know that once you start to break out of your shell a little bit, it will get easier and easier for you!
Believe in yourself because you CAN DO IT and we are cheering you on all the way! Try some of the suggestions here and please let us know how it goes! Sending hugs to you!! ♥
